In 2019 I spent 4 months studying in southwest Finland, There, I photographed nearly everything I threw out. Then I extracted number of pixels of each colour from the photographs to build a new image out of.
I knew I needed a line element for “Lay it on the Line” so, as a former IT person, I naturally turned to data. I used the Consumer Price Index from 2015 to 2019 as a base, and applied a modified sort algorithm to the pixels on each side of it.
I wouldn't have expected my experience "North of 60" to translate to a desert landscape, but there you have it.
